Adrenal Function Profile
The CNS Adrenal Function Profile uses a convenient salivary sample collection method, to assess an individual’s 24 hour cyclic cortisol levels and pinpoint the important cortisol surge. Also included are a morning and evening DHEA measurement, to enable the hugely significant Cortisol/DHEA ratio to be identified.
The CNS Candida Screen uses proven ELISA-based technology to detect the presence of IgG, IgA and IgM antibodies to candida.
The CNS Coeliac Screen (tTG) uses proven ELISA-based technology to detect circulating IgA and IgG antibodies raised against tissue Transglutaminase (tTG).
The CNS DAO Screen uses a dry blood spot method to detect the concentration of the DAO enzyme within the blood, which is responsible for breaking down histamine.
Histamine is a chemical that is released from mast cells during an allergic reaction, but it also occurs naturally in certain histamine-rich foods. Other foods, although low in histamine themselves, can also encourage the release of histamine within the body.
The CNS Parasite Screen employs a microscopy technique that utilises Optimized Parasite Recovery (OPR) to detect the presence of 30 protozoa and helminths in stool samples taken over 3 consecutive days.
Thyroid Antibody Test
The CNS Thyroid Autoantibody Screen uses ELISA-based technology to detect the presence of autoantibodies to Thyroid Peridoxase (AbTPO) and Thyroglobulin (AbTG), which indicate autoimmune thyroiditis.
Vitamin D Test
The CNS Vitamin D Test uses a conventional ELISA-based technology to determine levels of 25-Hydroxyvitamin D and other metabolites in serum or plasma.
Vitamin D deficiency can be a serious problem and does not have very obvious symptoms, but increases susceptibility to other more serious conditions. Maintaining Vitamin D levels protects the body from a wide range of diseases including viruses, cardiovascular disease, bone disease including osteoporosis, rickets and osteomalacia, autoimmune disease (such as multiple sclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis), strokes, nervous system disorders (such as Parkinson’s Disease) and type 1 and 2 diabetes. Depression and breast, prostate and colon cancer have also been linked to Vitamin D deficiency.
One to one personal coaching
£65 per hour
It is important I get to know about you before offering you any advice, so I offer a free initial consultation to gather an overview of your health and well-being and to book you in for your in-depth consultation.
I will take important information such as weight, health issues, medication, allergies, current diet and goals. In some situations, a pain free, finger prick blood test is done to gather further insight into any health issues you may have. I will then inform you of my recommendations, we will agree achievable short, medium and long term goals and how we will achieve it.
The majority of my clients work with me through a 6 week coaching plan, of one skype session a week and email or telephone support when required. I will support you by educating you about your food choices, with recipe suggestions and guidance throughout. You will be asked to send me a ‘digital diary’ of everything you eat, as a written food diary is often a burden and it’s easy to misinterpret. If I see you food I can see portion sizes also.
After your consultation, if you lack confidence and need a little boost to get started, we can work together to re-organise and stock your kitchen. I can come to your house (location dependant) or help via skype. We go through the food you already have, analysing your current go to recipes and create a throw away list (foods that don’t benefit your goals). We will make a 1 week, menu, based on what you like to eat and our plan. I will then email you a shopping list.
